Who Will Answer The Call?

By: Jonathan Roiz
Often times when doors don’t seem to open, people use the generic response “Trust in God, it will happen in His timing”. I do believe this statement, but this is not always the case. Often times NOW is God’s timing, God is speaking to His people calling them to take action, but they are not answering the call. God is speaking to them to take action through an email, a letter, a website, a message, a prayer, or a still small voice softly radiating through the heart and yet they do not answer the call, because in order to answer the call, they must step outside of their comfort zone, they take the risk that answering the call may cost them something.
The Hope Movement was birthed in the heart of a young boy many years ago. Working day and night, losing sleep, daily worrying and nightly soaking his pillow with tears but never losing faith in God and the vision. See I was that boy and I have felt the pain of abandonment, loneliness and sadness. Have felt the weight of responsibility to be the hands, feet and voice of God to reach those in desperate need.
Opportunities arose around the world from Guatemala to Peru, Costa Rica to Pakistan, Haiti to Africa and a vision was revealed that this is not about us, this is not my ministry its our ministry, this is not an organization, this a movement of united people, who have laid down their ego for humility, agenda for going with the flow of God, returning to the roots that Jesus established. No awards to the new philanthropist “hero” for doing what they should already be doing as a human being, no wasteful spending on image for a spectacle of ego, no corporate titles to make us more than what we are, no religious hype to attract attention, only the authentic presence of God flowing through our united actions of compassion.
The only obstacle that has prevented the vision of God to form a worldwide Hope Movement is the failure of His people to answer the call by giving, praying and going uniting as one to rescue the abandoned and abused child, to restore the broken family structure, to free the slave from the trap of modern day slavery, to feed the hungry, to educate the poor, to preach the message of Jesus to nations where you could loss your life, to prevent a generation of from repeating the cycle. Every time God’s people ignore a correspondence sharing a special need and they fail to give, pray or offer an encouraging word, they are contributing to the abandonment and abuse of a child, they are sealing the door to the trap of slavery, they are robbing food from the mouths of the hungry, they are emotionally oppressing the poor, they are driving the nails once again through the hands of Jesus and have the blood of the lost on their hands, they create the cycle that enslaves generations. Every time they fail to answer the call, they not only forsake their own, they forsake their creator, the lover of their soul. For Jesus is saying what you do to the least of these you do it to me.
So here we are after many years of pleading with you to help by giving, by praying, or by simply offering an encouraging word, we stand before you with tear filled eyes asking Will You Answer the Call? Honestly I have had my lonely nights, I have fought depression, I have cried myself to sleep because I did answer the call and took on the weight of doing all in my power to fulfill the vision of God. It has has cost me greatly, yet I would not trade it for the world. There is an expression in Spanish that says “Vale la Pena” which means its worth all of the pain. See I have physically held an abused child in my arms who was broken by the hands of a parent, I have felt their pain filled tears run down my skin as we embraced and a child informed me that her step-father is trying to sell her for sex to men in the community, I have witnessed and lived poverty, I have seen the face of slavery, I have felt the ribs of the malnourished, I feel their pain as if it is happening to me. Why does no one else feel this burden, who will answer the call? I take no salary, when no one gives, I use my own money even though if I don’t have it, but as Mother Teresa once said ““Love to be real, it must cost—it must hurt—it must empty us of self.” We can not continue this vision without you. Without your support children will return to the streets and abusive homes, people will go hungry, a child will be enslaved, a person will die without knowing the hope from above. So we need to know, Who will answer the call?
On this day you may not take action, this message may not move you, but from this day on you have no excuse. From this day forward you can never say that you did not know, that you didn’t receive the call, from this day forward you are responsible for your actions or lack of action.
The Hope Movement Must Raise $15,000 to Operate Our Haven of Hope Outreach Center and to Reach Many Around The World. If no one helps, the programs will end this summer. Will You Answer The Call?
For those who have answered the call, thank you, we love you more than words can express.
